**Sometimes you can see a Favorites-related activity notification, but TikTok does not document a complete, permanent list of every account that has added your video to Favorites.** Its official notification instructions say you can open **Inbox → Activities → All activity → Likes and Favorites**. That filter is the right place to check for activity the app shows you. It is not a tool for identifying every viewer, tracking private collections, or proving that a particular person still has your video saved. [TikTok Help: Notifications](https://support.tiktok.com/en/using-tiktok/messaging-and-notifications/notifications).

The distinction matters because “favorited,” “liked,” “viewed,” and “downloaded” are different actions. A notification about one action does not prove another occurred. Here is how to check the information TikTok makes available and how to interpret it without overclaiming.

## Check the Likes and Favorites activity filter

Open the TikTok mobile app and tap **Inbox** at the bottom. Open **Activities**. Tap **All activity** and choose **Likes and Favorites**. TikTok lists these steps in its current Help Center. The exact icons or labels can change as the app updates, so use the names shown in your version rather than looking for an old colored bell or a fixed screen layout. [TikTok Help: Notifications](https://support.tiktok.com/en/using-tiktok/messaging-and-notifications/notifications).

Review the activity items that appear. If an item explicitly says an account added one of your videos to Favorites, you can read the account and post shown in that notification. A like notification belongs to the same filter but reports a different action. Do not count every row in the combined filter as a Favorite. Open the item when needed to see which post it refers to; avoid guessing from a thumbnail or display name alone.

If your Inbox shows no Favorites item, the supported conclusion is simply that you do not see such a notification there. It does not establish that nobody saved the video. TikTok's public notification guide explains how to filter activity, but it does not promise that every Favorite will create a visible, retained, individually named item for every user. We have not verified a complete account-level history or an export of it.

## Can you get a full list of names?

Do not expect a roster you can sort by video and export. The official instructions describe an **activity filter**, not an exhaustive list of everyone who has ever saved a post. A notification may be useful evidence about that specific event if TikTok shows the account and video, but it is not a permanent audit log. The same caution applies if a third-party site claims it can reveal hidden savers: TikTok's current Help does not describe such an access path.

This article therefore uses “see who favorited” only in the narrow sense of **viewing a named Favorites notification if TikTok presents one**. It does not imply that all Favorites are public to the creator. If you are making a business or moderation decision, do not rely on a missing or partial notification feed as proof that a specific person did or did not save your post.

## Favorites, likes, views, and downloads are separate

A viewer can save a post to Favorites for later. Another viewer may tap Like to register a like. A view records that a post was watched under TikTok's measurement rules; a download makes a local copy when downloading is permitted. These actions can overlap, but the app does not let you substitute one for another. A like does not prove a Favorite, and a Favorite notification does not prove the person downloaded your file.

TikTok's **Likes and Favorites** filter groups two kinds of notifications in one place. Read each item's wording before interpreting it. TikTok also has a separate [Post view history](https://support.tiktok.com/en/account-and-privacy/account-privacy-settings/tiktok-post-view-history) feature with eligibility and visibility conditions. That feature concerns viewers and cannot be used as a list of people who saved a video. TikTok says some interactions, such as likes or comments, can affect how a view appears in that feature; it does not turn a view into a Favorite record.

If your question is about the size of an audience rather than the identity of one account, use the metrics TikTok makes available on your own post, and check their labels. A count can help you compare your posts, but it will not certify each person's identity. The notification feed is for surfaced activity; it is not a replacement for post metrics, and post metrics are not a substitute for named notifications.

## Why might the Favorites filter appear empty?

First, confirm you are signed into the account that posted the video. Activity on another account's video would not appear in your posting account's Inbox. Next, check **All activity** and the combined **Likes and Favorites** filter; an active filter for comments or mentions could hide the category you are looking for. TikTok's Help gives the path from the Inbox. [TikTok Help: Notifications](https://support.tiktok.com/en/using-tiktok/messaging-and-notifications/notifications).

Then review the actual entries rather than relying on phone push alerts. TikTok distinguishes in-app Inbox notifications from push notifications sent to a device. You can manage push notification preferences through **Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Notifications**, and your phone also has notification settings. Turning a push alert off is not evidence that nobody engaged with a post. Conversely, turning it on is not a promise that TikTok will alert you about every Favorite. If the menu looks different, check the app's current Help or update the app. Avoid a workaround that asks you to install an unofficial viewer, enter your password on another site, or grant an app access to your TikTok account merely to reveal “hidden” Favorites. TikTok's official documentation already describes the available activity route, and it does not establish a hidden full-saver list for outside tools.

## Can you see who favorited someone else's video?

The activity path in TikTok's Help concerns notifications to **your Inbox**. It does not document a way to open another creator's video and retrieve the accounts that saved it. You may see public likes or comments where the app displays them, but those are different actions. Do not infer a person's private saving behavior from a follow, comment, or view.

If you are the creator and want feedback, a better route is to ask viewers a question in the video or its comments, then read the replies people choose to make public. This gives you volunteered context. It will not produce a secret list of Favorites, and you should avoid pressuring people to identify themselves.

## What if you want to stop someone saving or reusing a post?

The Favorites notification screen is not a permission control. If you are concerned about who can see or reuse your post, review TikTok's current **Privacy** and post settings rather than trying to identify every saver. TikTok separately documents controls for [video downloads](https://support.tiktok.com/en/account-and-privacy/account-privacy-settings/video-downloads) and [Stitch and content reuse](https://support.tiktok.com/en/account-and-privacy/account-privacy-settings/stitch). Their availability depends on account and post settings. Restricting an action going forward does not prove that an earlier viewer never saw or saved the post within TikTok.

Use a private audience if the material is intended only for a smaller group, and avoid posting sensitive information that you cannot take back once seen. If an account is harassing you or misusing your work, use TikTok's in-app reporting and privacy controls for the specific behavior; a Favorites alert alone does not establish misuse.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does TikTok notify me every time someone favorites a video?

TikTok's Help says the Inbox has a **Likes and Favorites** filter. It does not promise a complete individual notification for every save, in every region and account type, for all time. Treat the items you actually see as surfaced activity, not a complete count of people.

### Does a Favorite notification reveal the person's account?

If a particular notification explicitly names an account, it can tell you about that displayed activity. Do not extrapolate that to people who have no visible notification. If an item is aggregated or does not name someone, the official Help reviewed here does not supply a separate identity-recovery step.

### Is the Favorites count the same as a list of people?

No. A number, if the app shows one for a post, is a measurement. The Inbox filter shows activity notices. Neither should be represented as a guaranteed identity list.

### Can a third-party app show hidden Favorites?

We found no current TikTok Help documentation supporting that claim. Do not hand over a login or authorize account access based on a promise to reveal information TikTok has not made available to you in its app.

### Why can I see likes but not Favorites?

The combined filter can contain one type of item without the other. It only shows the activity TikTok presents in your Inbox. The absence of a Favorites item is not proof that no one saved the post.
