Can You See Who Liked Your TikTok Video?

Find TikTok's documented like notifications, understand what the Liked videos privacy setting controls, and learn why a like count is not a complete list of people.

Three distinct visual cards representing a video like count, activity notifications, and a person's liked videos

You can check activity notifications for likes on your TikTok posts. TikTok's current Help explains how to filter your Inbox for Likes and Favorites. It does not document a guaranteed complete list of every account that has ever liked a particular video. If you need to check recent engagement, start with the app's own activity screen rather than a third-party “liker viewer.”

The distinction matters because a like count, a notification about a like, and a profile's Liked videos tab answer different questions. A count tells you how many likes a post currently shows. Activity can tell you about interactions sent to your account. The Liked videos tab shows posts that an account chose to like, subject to that account's privacy setting. It is not a setting for revealing everyone who liked your own post.

How to check likes on your TikTok posts

In the TikTok app, open Inbox, tap Activities, then tap All activity and select Likes and Favorites. TikTok documents this as the way to filter activity notifications. If your app labels differ, check the current Inbox and notification settings; app controls can change.

This is the documented place to look for like activity, but avoid treating it as a permanent roster. The Help page explains the filter; it does not promise that every historical like will remain individually available or that the activity view will equal the post's current like count. A person can also remove a like by tapping the Like button again. For a post's performance numbers, use the metrics available on the post or in TikTok Studio, where available to your account.

If you want device alerts, TikTok lets you manage push notifications from Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Notifications. A phone's own notification settings can affect what reaches the device. Turning off a push alert does not remove the post itself or establish that nobody liked it; check the in-app activity when you want to review engagement.

Can you see who liked someone else's TikTok?

Do not assume that another post's visible like count comes with a public, complete list of accounts behind it. TikTok's current Help documents your own activity notifications and a person's optional Liked videos profile tab. It does not document a tool for obtaining every account that liked someone else's post. If the creator or liker has chosen a more limited audience for posts or liked videos, respect that choice.

You might be able to see posts a person has liked if that person has chosen to show their Liked videos tab to an audience that includes you. That is a list of posts the person liked, not a list of everyone who liked a selected post. If the tab is hidden or inaccessible, there is no setting on your account that overrides their choice.

What the Liked videos privacy setting actually does

TikTok says a newly created account's liked posts are hidden from its profile by default. To review your own setting, go to Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Privacy → Liked videos. Depending on account privacy, TikTok lists Everyone for public accounts, Followers for private accounts, or Only you.

Changing that control affects whether eligible visitors can see the videos you liked on your profile. It does not turn on a public list of people who liked the videos you posted. Those two directions of engagement are easy to confuse, especially when an article uses “your likes” for both.

Why a third-party “liker viewer” is a poor shortcut

If a site or app promises to reveal identities that TikTok's own controls do not document, treat the promise as unverified. Avoid entering your password into an unfamiliar service or granting account access merely to inspect likes. TikTok advises reviewing an app's terms and requested permissions before connecting it and removing access from apps you no longer use. In the TikTok app, connected services can be reviewed under Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services permissions.

For ordinary content decisions, start with information TikTok gives you directly: recent activity, the visible post metrics, and the comments people chose to leave. A like alone does not tell you why someone watched, what they want next, or whether they would welcome contact. Comparing your own posts over time is a more cautious way to learn what topics resonate than making claims about individual viewers from a single tap.

Frequently asked questions

Does TikTok tell me when someone likes my video?

TikTok says Inbox activity can include likes and provides a Likes and Favorites filter. Push alerts for likes can also be controlled in notification settings. What you see may depend on current app behavior and settings.

Does the Liked videos setting hide the people who liked my posts?

No. TikTok describes that setting as control over who can see the posts you have liked on your profile. It is separate from activity notifications about likes on your own posts.

Can a creator see every account that ever liked one video?

The TikTok Help pages reviewed here do not confirm a complete, permanent identity list or an official tap path to one. Check the app's current activity for the information actually available, and avoid claiming that it is exhaustive.

If someone hides their Liked videos tab, can I still see what they liked?

Their visibility choice controls that profile tab. TikTok's Help does not document a way for another account to override it.
