X GIF Downloader

Paste a public X post URL to see whether a GIF or video file is available. File type, quality, and availability depend on the returned media.

Example: https://x.com/user/status/123

Submit a public post link. If the connected service returns media, review the available file options before saving. Private, removed, or unsupported posts may return no file. This form does not ask for a platform password.

Use this tool to check a public X post that contains an animation. Paste the full post URL into the form above. If the connected service finds downloadable media, review the file options it returns. Some animations on X may be served as video rather than a .gif file.

Check a post in three steps

  1. Copy the full URL of a public X post containing the animation.
  2. Paste it into the tool and submit the link.
  3. Review the returned file type before saving a copy for which you have permission.

A link alone does not guarantee a file. Protected posts, deleted media, service errors, and unsupported formats may return no option. The tool does not create a new GIF format or promise a particular resolution.

Understand the result

The download choice reflects what the connected service found for that specific post. If you need an actual .gif file and the result is a video, this page has not converted it. Check the extension shown with the returned file.

Save and share only media you own or are allowed to use. The availability of a download option does not itself grant reuse rights.
