How to Find Saved Videos and Favorites on TikTok
Find videos saved to TikTok Favorites or downloaded to your phone. Follow the right path for each kind of save and check why a video may be missing.
“Saved” can mean two different things on TikTok. You may have added a post to Favorites for later viewing inside TikTok, or downloaded a copy to your phone. Start by remembering which action you used. The two kinds of saved video are found in different places.
Find a video added to TikTok Favorites
Open TikTok while signed into the account you used when saving the video. Go to Profile, then look for Favorites. Open the videos section if TikTok shows several categories. Depending on your app layout, Favorites may appear as a bookmark-style button or label, and you may have to scroll through categories. TikTok's Help documents a Profile-to-Favorites path for saved books, but its published example does not guarantee the same arrangement for every kind of favorite on every account.
If you can remember part of the creator's name or the video's subject, that may help you recognise it once you open Favorites. If you organised Favorites into collections, check the relevant collection as well as any general videos view. Collections and categories can vary by account and app version; use the labels actually displayed in your app.
To save a video for later inside TikTok, use its Favorites action when available. Do not confuse this with Like. TikTok provides a separate Liked videos tab on Profile, and an item you liked may be there even if you never added it to Favorites. If you remember tapping a heart rather than a Favorites control, check Liked videos instead. TikTok's Liking Help explains that tab.
Find a TikTok video downloaded to your phone
If you used Share → Save video, look in your device's photos or video library, and check the files or downloads app if it does not appear there. The precise location depends on the phone, its settings, and whether the download completed. A downloaded copy is separate from the Favorites list inside TikTok; adding a post to Favorites alone does not establish that a video file was saved on the phone.
To download a video that is still available, open it in the TikTok app, tap Share, then look for Save video. TikTok says this option depends on the creator allowing downloads. If you cannot see it, do not assume the app is broken or that a third-party downloader is required. TikTok's Download content Help gives the current supported path and availability condition.
What if the saved video is missing?
First, check the account: Favorites belong to the TikTok account where you used the action, while downloaded files are stored on the device where you saved them. Then check the other possible location: Favorites, Liked videos, and your device's video library represent different actions. If you remember saving a post to a collection, open that collection instead of relying on the first videos view.
If the post itself no longer opens, the creator may have removed it or changed who can view it. That is a possible explanation, not a diagnosis of your particular case. You can search for the creator or topic within TikTok, but a removed or inaccessible original may not be recoverable through Favorites. If you still need help with a missing app item, use TikTok's in-app Report a problem flow and describe the account, device, and action you used.
Can other people see your Favorites?
Do not use an eye icon or a Liked videos setting as proof of who can see your Favorites. TikTok's official Help documents visibility controls for Liked videos, but the reviewed pages do not establish a universal Favorites visibility switch. Review the privacy controls actually available in your app for your account, and avoid assuming a saved item has been shared with others. If privacy is important for a specific account or content type, check TikTok's current in-app explanation before relying on it.
Quick answer
For a video you added to Favorites, open TikTok Profile → Favorites and check the video section or the collection where you put it. For a video you downloaded, check your phone's video library or files. For a video you liked, check Profile's Liked videos tab. TikTok may show different menus by account and device, so follow the matching action rather than a fixed icon position.
