How to See Your Liked Videos on TikTok

Find videos you liked from your TikTok profile, check the Liked videos privacy setting, and understand why the tab may show a different collection from Favorites.

To find videos you liked, open TikTok, tap Profile, and open the Liked videos tab. TikTok lists that two-step path in its Liking Help article. It is a view of activity on your account. If you use more than one TikTok account, check the active username before deciding a video has disappeared.

The privacy of that tab is a separate setting. TikTok says liked videos are hidden from your profile by default when you create an account, and the choices available to you depend on whether the account is public or private. Hiding your likes from other profile visitors does not mean that you cannot open your own tab while signed in.

Find a video you liked

  1. Sign in to the TikTok account you used when you liked the video.
  2. Tap Profile at the bottom of the app.
  3. Tap Liked videos among the profile tabs. If the tab is represented by an icon in your version, use the app’s accessible label or the tab that opens your liked posts rather than relying on the icon’s exact position.
  4. Browse the posts displayed there and open the one you want to watch again.

This is TikTok’s documented app path as checked on 2 October 2026. TikTok can change its interface, so a profile tab may move or have a different visual treatment. The useful checkpoint is the Liked videos label and the account you are currently using. A screenshot from another device or an old guide may show a different tab order.

Liking a post and adding something to Favorites are different actions. TikTok’s Liking Help specifically identifies the Liked videos tab for posts you liked. If you saved a post to Favorites without liking it, check the Favorites area available on your profile instead. Do not assume the Liked videos tab is a complete archive of everything you watched or saved.

Decide who can see your liked videos

TikTok lets you choose whether liked posts appear to other people on your profile. To review the setting, tap Profile, open the Menu ☰, then choose Settings and privacy → Privacy → Liked videos. TikTok documents the available choices as Everyone for public accounts, Followers for private accounts, and Only you. A newly created account hides liked videos from its profile by default. See TikTok’s Liking Help for the current labels.

Choose the audience that matches how you use the account. Only you is the most private option for the liked-posts tab: it keeps other profile visitors from browsing that collection through your profile. If you have a public account and choose Everyone, profile visitors can see liked videos that TikTok makes available there. A private account can use the Followers choice instead of Everyone. Review your account’s actual options; a public/private change can alter which choices are offered.

This setting answers who can view the liked-video collection on your profile. It is not a universal switch that erases every trace of an earlier interaction. For example, TikTok’s post-view-history guidance says likes and comments on another person’s post can still appear in that post’s view history under the conditions TikTok describes, even when post view history is turned off. The creator may also receive interaction information through TikTok’s own features. Do not present a private Liked videos tab as an anonymous-like mode.

Why a video may not be where you expect

Start with the simplest checks: are you signed into the account that liked it, and did you actually tap Like rather than Add to Favorites? If you removed the like, TikTok says tapping the Like button again removes it. The post would no longer belong to your liked collection. A video you merely watched is not automatically a liked video either.

If the post itself no longer opens from its original link, the profile tab cannot guarantee access to it. The creator may have changed its availability, or TikTok may no longer show it to your account. This is a general troubleshooting possibility, not a way to identify the creator’s exact action from a missing thumbnail. If you have a legitimate link to the post, check it directly and read any message TikTok shows rather than assuming a specific reason.

If the tab appears empty, confirm the active username, update the app if a current update is available, and reopen the profile. Try liking a post you are allowed to view and then return to your tab to see whether the account is recording new likes. This is a diagnostic check, not a promise that it will restore older items. If TikTok displays an account or app error, use its Help Center or in-app report flow. Avoid third-party “recover all liked videos” sites that request your login.

The privacy setting is worth checking when another person says they cannot see your likes. Only you may explain that, while a public account with Everyone may expose the collection. But the setting does not promise that every liked post remains available forever, and it does not tell you who has looked at your profile.

Liked videos, Favorites, and viewing history

These collections answer different questions. Liked videos are posts on which you used TikTok’s Like action. TikTok says you can remove a like by tapping the Like button again. Favorites are items you deliberately saved using a separate feature, where available. Viewing history concerns posts you watched; a watch is not evidence of a like. If you are looking for a post you enjoyed but never liked or saved, the Liked videos tab is the wrong place to expect it.

If you routinely want to return to a creator’s work, decide which action you mean at the time you watch: like, save to Favorites, or follow the account. These actions are not interchangeable, and none promises access if the creator later removes or restricts a post. You can also keep a permitted link in your own notes for a reference you need to find again. Respect the creator’s sharing choices and do not use a downloader as a supposed way around an unavailable post.

TikTok describes likes as one of the interactions that can inform its recommendation system. That explains why you may see related content after liking posts, but it does not mean one like guarantees a particular For You feed change. Your liked collection is useful as a personal route back to posts; it is not an analytics tool that tells you how TikTok ranked them.

Can you see someone else’s liked videos?

Only to the extent that person’s liked-post visibility setting permits. TikTok’s documented options are Everyone on a public account, Followers on a private account, or Only you. If the collection is hidden from you, do not assume a third-party viewer can legitimately reveal it. Nor does the absence of a visible liked tab prove that the person has never liked a video. It may reflect their privacy setting or their account state.

The same distinction applies in reverse. Set your own audience deliberately if you do not want casual visitors browsing your liked posts. Review it again after changing your account between public and private. That is more reliable than assuming the default never changes or that hiding the tab makes all interactions invisible to a post’s creator.

Quick answers

Where are my liked videos? TikTok documents Profile → Liked videos in the app.

Are liked videos private by default? TikTok says they are hidden from your profile by default when you create an account. Check Privacy → Liked videos for your current choice.

Can I show the collection to everyone? TikTok lists Everyone for public accounts. Private accounts can use Followers; Only you keeps the collection private on your profile.

Why is a saved video missing? A video added to Favorites without a like is not necessarily in the Liked videos tab. Check the account you used and the action you took.

Does hiding liked videos make a like anonymous? Do not count on that. The setting governs the profile collection, while TikTok documents other interaction and view-history behavior separately.
