How Many Instagram Followers Do I Have?
Open your Instagram profile and look for the Followers label to see the count your account displays.

Open your Instagram profile and look for the number labeled Followers. That is the follower count Instagram currently displays for the account you opened. Check the account name first if you manage more than one profile; a count from another account will not answer your question.
The label matters more than its exact position on the screen. Instagram can change layouts, and a small screen may arrange profile information differently from a desktop browser. Do not rely on a claim that Followers is always the middle of exactly three numbers. Find the word Followers and read the number next to it.
Followers and Following are different
Followers are accounts following yours. Following is the set of accounts you follow. The two numbers answer different questions, so check the label before copying a figure into a report or comparing profiles. If you tap Followers, Instagram may show the account list available to you, subject to account privacy and current interface controls. A count is not the same as a list of everyone who can see a post.
A displayed number can also be shortened or rounded in some views. If you need a particular figure, use the most detailed view offered by your own account rather than guessing from an abbreviated display. Do not enter your Instagram password into a third-party “exact count” site merely because the profile label looks compact.
Does the number show whether your account is growing?
A single count is a current snapshot. It cannot by itself show whether the account grew last week or how people respond to your posts. To describe change, record the count on two dates using the same account and compare the difference. An increase or decrease says how the displayed total changed during that interval; it does not reveal the identity or reason behind each change.
Follower totals also do not prove that an account is famous, trusted or reaching the people it hopes to reach. If your goal is to understand your audience, combine the count with your own content goals and any account insights Instagram makes available to you. You do not need to buy followers to answer the simple question of how many your profile currently displays.
